Brake Issues Should be Rectified Quickly

No one wants to be driving down the road and have the brakes not respond when pressed. A vehicle is a heavy machine and requires good braking systems at all times. If your brake feels "soft" or "spongy" when you press down on the pedal instead of feeling firm, then it is possible that one or more of your braking mechanisms may be the problem.

A soft brake pedal can be caused by any one or more of several braking issues such as having air in the brake lines, damaged brake calipers (calipers work by pressing on the brake rotors), bad wheel cylinders, a worn master cylinder or faulty brake lines.

To learn which of these problems could be causing your braking problems, bring your vehicle in to our service center at Hoffman Ford so we can help you discover what may be the issue. We want you to be safe when driving in East Hartford, CT.
